Bharatanatyam

Bharatanatyam is the oldest form of Indian classical dance, with roots in ancient temples of Tamil Nadu, India. Its name comes from the four parts of dance in Sanskrit: "bha" from Bhava meaning emotion, "ra" from Raga meaning music, "ta" from Tala meaning rhythm, and "Natya" which means dance.

Bharatanatyam, regarded as one of the most challenging and intricate styles of dance, is distinguished by precise and forceful footwork, nuanced hand gestures, and expressive eye movements, all of which necessitate discipline and dedication.
