Nattuvangam

After years of Bharatanatyam, we sought to deepen our connection with the art. This led us to learn the Nattuvangam under the guidance of our guru. A South Indian instrument, Nattuvangam is a set of small cymbals attached to wooden handles. This instrument guides a dancer's movement through a dance's tempo and intricate rhythms. 

Our dream of accompanying our guru alongside other dancers created a full-circle moment for us. Playing the Nattuvangam allows us to continue our dance experience and connect with our guru and the art in a deeper way.
